Today I woke up so early to get to the Saudi Council Commission Office to renew my Saudi License Card. I have prepared all the necessary requirements the night before. My card had expired last December 2011, and I cannot apply to other hospitals if I will not renew my card.

I arrived so early that I was number two when I got a number from the machine. When I sat down and greeted the receptionist, I told her that I want to renew my license under the "not working" category. Why is that so, it's complicated! My sponsorship is still with my husband, not with the previous hospital that I had worked with. Anyway, she asked for my original license card and my current employment certificate. She entered something in the computer and asked for my original IQAMA. Then again she asked me to pay for 150.00 SR for the renewal fee. By the way, this is the most important thing, all payment transactions inside the commission are made thru credit card ONLY, no cash payment.
I waited for about 10 minutes and she presented me a new card with an active license until December 2012. I asked her if she needs anything more, then she replied , nothing more.
I was amazed by how easy the process was. I didn't expect that despite all the preparation I did, it would only take fifteen minutes at most and good thing was I didn't have to come back. What a great relief, now I can go back to the hospital I'm eyeing to be my future employer. :)
The requirements for Medical Technician renewal are the following:
- Saudi Council Re-Registration Form (to be filled-up)
- 30 original CME certificates, BCLS
- MOH License
- Passport copy and Iqama (Residence Permit Card) copy
- 2 recent photos (2x2)
- Original Saudi Council Registration Card
- Saudi Council Accreditation certificate copy only
The requirements for Medical Specialist renewal are the the same
listed above except for bullet number 2, which should be 60 CME hours
certificates.

Can i renew my registration with an expired iqama?
Hi Crissy, I apologize for the late reply, the answer to your question is no, you cannot renew your license with an expired Iqama. Specially this time the government are very strict of one's status in the kingdom. I hope I have answered your question precisely. Thanks for writing, :)

My wife was unemployed for two years because she delivered our little angel an told her to at least wait 1 year before she goes back to work. Her Saudi council license is already expired. By the way she worked as SN1(nurse at RMH). Now that she wants to apply again, hospitals are requiring her a valid Saudi council license. She's my dependent but of course we are willing for her to be transferred upon employment.
Will she be able to renew her Saudi council license by herself?
What does she need to do and documents that she needs to prepare for this renewal?

Hi please help me guys, how to renew my Saudi council licensed do I need to do dataflow? Because I don't know if I had already dataflow or no because my first employer process everything they just give me my ID that was 2012-2015 now I come back to ksa with other hospital just recently I did mumaris account but the hospital ask me to do dataflow though dataflow.ksa and IAM confused if I will check new or renew on the option they had different requirements.

You have the same situation like mine. Although at the present I don't have any plans of going back. But I think they have their rule regarding certain years that you have been actively practicing as a medical professional in saudi. I am not just certain how many years that you are inactive before they require you to retake the exam.

hi, i tried couple of times renewing my saudicouncil license in mumaris, my card was expired nov.2016 and i wasn’t able to renewed it since I finished my contract from my prev.hosp DEc.2016 and I return back to Saudi in other Hospital July 2017. My request was returned couple of times as well and the reason its because I haven’t renewed within 180days, I explained my reason but still it was return.. What should I do? thank you

Good day! I have been browsing net to find answer for my questions I hope you can help me. My card was expired May 2017 and I applied for my renewal since Dec 7, 2017 but up to now my status is still submitted to SCFHS. I tried using this tawasul service a couple of times and they’ve been giving me the same response that my request has been forwarded to the competent department for the necessary work according to jurisdiction. I badly need my renewed card ASAP. How can I make the process of my card renewal fast? Please help me. God bless everyone.

No,,, im still waiting for the response of scfhs... I followed up tru tawasl, but they giving me also same response that they forwarded my request to the concern department... It's 4 months already... Before, they asked me the reason why i am not able to renew it on time...i answered them tru tawasl, but after that i didn't receive any update... Up to now the status is" submitted to schfs". I dont know what to do...

Just today after over 2months of waiting I recieved the approval of my renewal. Thanks God the long stress is over after how many returned application and over and over explanation why my renewal is late now they already approved it. It’s just so expensive though I have to pay 600SR penalty for late renewal( because my card is expired last May 2017 and I renew just last Dec.7, 2017), 160 for the renewal and 70SR for re-registration fee. So all in all I have to pay 830SR for the renewal of 2 yrs. Anyways thanks to God it is finished because we really need this license here especially nowadays. God bless us all. 🙏❤💋

Joice no need to take exam just explain to them your valid reason why your renewal is 180days late. Mine was the same as your case. You just have to pay more because of the penalty for the late renewal by the way I've waited almost 3 mos. for my card renewal with 4 times returned application for not renewing within 180 days.
i have also the same problem i process my renewal 2months before expire.. but it always appears renewal request has been returned i went to saudi council and ask they said they need the data flow from philippines and i ask them f they can give me sample so dat i have idea wat is that

Anonymous man, just be patient sir. Just comply to the instructions that they send you why your renewal was returned and with God's help i'm sure your application will be approved. In my case they returned my application 4 times asking for explanation why I was not able to renew it within 180 days and waited for almost 3 months for it to finished. God bless.

Unknown, kristine sorry for the late reply. My reason was I told them that there is no scheduled BLS training in our place so my application for renewal was late . My application was returned several times just I keep on telling them this same reason and after maybe 3 or 4 times returned application they approved it and let me renewed my license but the fees I paid was a little bit high because of the penalty for late renewal. Anyways, just be patient and just always ff up thru tawasul. It took me almost 3 months to renewed mine so don't get stressed and just wait and be patient. Hope it helps. God bless.

My saudi council states that I'm a nurse technician and I want to upgrade it to specialist,now my questions are
1. Do I need to apply for another license as specialist once I pass the exam?
2. Do I need to undergo data flow again?
My license will going to expire this Sept. 2018 and planning to go exit as well, but still I want to upgrade it to specialist when im in the Philippines already. Thanks in advance guys

1st, I am not working at present and under my husband sponsorship, I decided to work again & was being hired. My new hospital need atleast 4months validity of my licensed for transferof sponsorship processing. But my license will expire in next month.
I applied for my SCFH renewal for 1 year or temporary registration since I am lacking of CME hours at this moment. But my request was return from 3 attempts.
In addition, my iqama was expired last month. dependent levy tax will be paid for 1 year. And since I had my new job. They advice me not to renew my iqama since it's going to be transferred to my new employer.
The levy dependent needs to be paid but not refundable.
My problem now is, is this the reason too why they returned my request. Bcoz my iqama was expired? Do I need to renew my iqama under my husband sponsorship and pay levy tax for 1 year but it will be transferred my sponsorship right after I have my Saudi Council renewed. I find it waste of money & not practical... Please help 😢
